This was a new brand and a new market. Smart smoker had no web presence at all and Sigma Web had a tough job. 'Get me top place on Google for smart smoker' was the cry from the director. After a couple of weeks and the mission was accomplished. This was quickly followed up by 'get me top place on Google for a generic term, in fact the only term which matters in our sector, electronic cigarettes'. Two weeks later and again, mission accomplished!
As a result of this we were able to capitalise on a BBC news story regarding the electronic cigarette which resulted in some fantastic traffic and orders.
The brand is born, alive and doing very well.

A wonderful extreme sports shop based in Leicestershire. A website was already up and running, e-commerce system. The sales were poor, SEO work was required as well as the usability of the site.
There was quite a comprehensive list of issues which were identified.
Add to this the fact that a social media campaign had been started and Facebook was running but with little success.
Early on in the campaign, the customer was searching around the social media scene for some links and he came across what he thought was a great story.
After contacting the writer and striking up a relationship, he discovered the writer was actually Sigma Web's link builder who had produced some content for contextual links. The next day the article was picked up by Wakeboarding Magazine.

Since the new site has been running, there has been an increase in orders, we have achieved first page on Google for 2 main generic phrases, 'extreme sports equipment' and 'wakeboard equipment'. The social media work has produced a following on Facebook and Twitter and the blog is directing traffic and links.

The site has relied on PPC and we have begun implementing our intelligent Pay Per Click methods and shaping the campaign to suit more of what the company wants from its visitors.
Any decent Paid Search campaign should also work side by side with an organic SEO campaign. We have just begun the natural search strategy and with the improvemnt from the PPC we can really tailor the organic work to suit.
